Devlin Mechanical carried out the mechanical services installation at the newly opened Ballymena Ambulance Centre located on the Antrim Road in Ballymena.
The heating is provided by a biomass boiler and a natural gas boiler with heating pumps also installed. Radiant heating panels have been installed throughout as well as overdoor air heaters. A water booster pump set has been installed on the plumbing, which is heated by two gas fired water calorifiers with thermostatic mixing valves and TMV taps installed throughout the building as required. Roof mounted extract fans serve the building with some local extract fans ventilating directly to the outside. The server rooms and some training rooms are cooled using split system units and an outside condenser. Sanitaryware has been installed throughout along with water boilers in some areas. A building management system (BMS) including control panel and control valves has been installed with local front end linked to the clients central BMS located offsite. This enables offsite monitoring at their headquarters.

Prince Harry officially opened this new multi million pound on Thursday 7th September during his first visit to Northern Ireland. He was given a tour of some of the vehicles and ambulances used and a demonstration of paramedic skills.
